ZFSSA - Fault LED still on but No faults seen on system

The aim of this article is to clear a continually lit fault LED after making sure there are no faults remaining on the system.

To view and mark repaired the faults on the Fault Management Shell (FMA faults logged to the SP):

  1. While still logged into the Oracle ILOM/SP, start the Fault Management Shell 
    -> start /SP/faultmgmt/shell
  2. View faulted components 
    faultmgmtsp> fmadm faulty
  3. For each fault listed, run the repair command 
    faultmgmtsp> fmadm repair <UUID>
  4. Log out of the shell 
    faultmgmtsp> exit

To clear fault events and reset ILOM/SP:

  1. ssh to the ILOM as root ILOM user 
    -> cd /SP/logs/event
-> set clear=true

-> reset /SP
