Changing GUID of Imported Media in NetBackup

To modify the media GUID in NetBackup for an imported tape, run the following command on Solaris system:

# /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmchange -g <GUID> -m <tape_label>

For Windows systems, use the following syntax:

C:\> "C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr\bin\vmchange.exe" -g <GUID> -m <tape_label>

This will change the GUID of the media in the NetBackup media database, once complete you will be able to perform operations with this media.
